Food Forest

Description :

Students will explore our working Kitchen Garden and the wider Botanic Gardens to learn how plants grow and discover where food comes from. Through observation, guided inquiry, and playful exploration, students will harvest herbs, fruits or vegetables in the Kitchen Garden and discuss how to make simple healthy meals. Students will also plant their own seed and learn how to care for plants.

 

Students will:

  • Learn about sustainable gardening practices
  • Harvest seasonal produce
  • Plant their own flower or vegetable seed
  • Go on a discovery walk
