Seasonal Garden Discovery

Description :

Through hands-on experiences and story telling, students will explore the rich diversity of plants in the landscape, and learn about the cultural and seasonal significance of plants in Australia and the world. Immersing their senses in the natural environment, students will explore the relationships between plants, people and place.

 

This program is also recommended as an immersive experience for students learning English as an additional language.

 

Students will:

 

  • Explore plant features and uses and make a scented herb-bag to take home
  • Pot up a plant and discuss what plants need to grow 
  • Go on a seasonal discovery walk
