Thank You Rain

Description :

Come to Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne for a creative exploration of the water cycle and the importance of rain to all life. Children will use all their senses to investigate the role of a raindrop, from the sky to the sea as they discover the stunning Australian Garden.

 

Students will

 

Listen to a story introducing the importance of water

Practise motor and rhythm skills through music and dance

Use water as inspiration for creative expression with water painting

Investigate the diversity of the landscape by going on a colour hunt

Pot up a drought tolerant plant to take home

 

Key focuses

 

Introduce the story of water and its cycle through the land

Explore the idea that water is central to life, and a precious resource

Provide a fun and enjoyable play-based experience and use the senses to explore the natural landscape.
