Thank You Rain

Description :

Come to Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne for a creative exploration of the water cycle and the importance of rain to all life. Children will use all their senses to investigate the role of a raindrop, from the sky to the sea as they discover the stunning Australian Garden.

 

Students will

  • Listen to a story introducing the importance of water
  • Practise motor and rhythm skills through music and dance
  • Use water as inspiration for creative expression with water painting
  • Investigate the diversity of the landscape by going on a colour hunt
  • Pot up a drought tolerant plant to take home

 

Key focuses

  • Introduce the story of water and its cycle through the land
  • Explore the idea that water is central to life, and a precious resource
  • Provide a fun and enjoyable play-based experience and use the senses to explore the natural landscape.
