Health and Wellbeing in Nature

Description :

Explore the physical, mental and emotional benefits of nature and spending time outdoors.

 

This program helps participants to understand the impacts of technology and stress on their wellbeing and learn strategies for self-regulation that involve nature.
Suitable for adults and tertiary students across a broad range of learning areas as well as people training to be in high stress workplaces, professional work groups and community groups.

 

Participants will:

 

  • Discover health benefits of plants and the outdoors

  • Participate in a range of nature connection activities such as bird watching, nature journaling, and creating land art using natural materials

  • Experience the benefits of a mindfulness walk

  • Make scented herb bags to take home

  • Impacts of technology and stress on wellbeing

  • Healthy habits and health benefits of plants and the outdoors

  • Strategies for mental and physical wellbeing
